Olivia Ruffin, MS, NCC, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides individual therapy for adults.
Many women carry a quiet kind of pressure, the mental load, the expectations, and the feeling that they have to hold it all together. Sometimes it shows up as staying in motion: overthinking, people-pleasing, and pushing through while still feeling like it is never enough. Other times it looks like feeling depleted, disconnected from yourself, and out of sync in ways that make everyday life feel heavier than it should.
Olivia is also the founder of Redefine Your Healing, LLC. She offers a compassionate, culturally attuned space where women can slow down, quiet the inner noise, and build steadier ways of coping through practical tools, supportive insight, and a relationship that feels safe.
Together, you will learn skills to regulate stress, set healthier boundaries, and make decisions from self-trust instead of pressure. This work is not about becoming someone new. It is about coming back to yourself with clarity and care. If you are ready for support that feels steady and real, you are welcome to reach out to schedule a consultation.

Education and Background
Olivia earned her Master of Science in Counseling from The University of Scranton and began her work in community mental health, where she supported clients through complex life stressors, identity concerns, and trauma. That experience shaped how she shows up in the therapy room today with steady presence and practical support, helping clients name what matters, set down what is not theirs to carry, and take the next right step with clarity and care.
In private practice, Olivia supports women who carry a lot and care deeply, and are tired of feeling like they have to stay “on” to be okay. Her work is collaborative and skill-based, helping clients calm overthinking, set clear boundaries, and make choices from self-trust instead of pressure.

Dialectical-Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Olivia integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support women who care deeply and are carrying the mental load, and who want to break unhelpful cycles, strengthen boundaries, and feel more steady and confident in decisions and relationships. DBT helps you notice what is happening internally and respond with more intention and self-compassion while working toward meaningful change. You will build mindfulness skills to quiet mental noise, emotion regulation skills to reduce overwhelm, interpersonal effectiveness skills to communicate needs and set boundaries with less guilt, and distress tolerance skills to move through hard moments without spiraling or shutting down.
Solution Focused Therapy
When a problem feels “big,” it can crowd out your strengths and the coping that has carried you this far. Olivia uses Solution-Focused Therapy, a practical, evidence-based approach that clarifies what you want to be different and highlights what is already working. Together, you will set clear goals and choose realistic next steps between sessions so change feels steady, purposeful, and less pressured.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Olivia uses EMDR from a whole-person perspective to help you understand what you have been carrying and how it may still be affecting you today. EMDR can reduce the emotional charge tied to painful memories and unhelpful beliefs, supporting lasting relief and a steadier way forward. Olivia is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and incorporates resourcing tools throughout, with a pace that prioritizes safety, consent, and readiness.
