About Us

Our Mission

We provide a safe environment where you can find the resources, tools, and support necessary to navigate the challenges you face. We honor your innate resiliency and support you in building upon it — through traditional, innovative, and creative pathways for healing. We have a variety of educational backgrounds, professional experiences, and advanced trainings that inform our work. We understand that no one approach is universally “best.” The quality of therapeutic relationships is always of foremost importance. In the safety of relationships, both individual and group, you can release and transform painful life experiences — and create a life you love.

Our Story

Founded in 2007 by Elizabeth Venart, LPC, The Resiliency Center began with a vision: to create a vibrant community of practitioners with a shared commitment to addressing trauma, promoting resiliency, and creating joy. We offer healing and integrative services, programs, and community gatherings that invite meaningful dialogue and authentic connection. As people heal and grow, they experience greater compassion and joy.

Part of what makes the center unique is how intentionally the practitioner community has grown and its prevailing culture of compassion. From her participation in a national task force on counselor wellness and her own professional experiences, Elizabeth knew the importance of a strong, authentic, and supportive work environment. Quality therapeutic work depends on the individual resilience and wellbeing of helpers. Our commitment to our personal growth and collective wellbeing empowers us to foster resiliency in the community members we support.

Today, we’ve grown to 15 practitioners across two locations, serving the Greater Philadelphia community with a wide range of therapeutic modalities and wellness programs. We are honored to have strong working alliances with healthcare professionals and schools throughout the region.
