Anger
Anger is a natural, often protective emotion. It signals that something important is happening—a value being crossed, a need unmet, a hurt surfacing. And like all emotions, anger can be harder to live with when it becomes frequent, intense, or expressed in ways that harm self or others.
Our practitioners help clients understand what their anger is carrying, rather than simply trying to suppress it. Work may include skills for noticing early cues, regulating intensity, communicating needs clearly, and exploring the hurts or unmet longings often underneath anger. Approaches may draw on IFS, CBT, DBT-informed skills, somatic work, and mindfulness.
Clients often find that as anger is better understood and cared for, it becomes a source of information and energy rather than something that drives them. This kind of work supports healthier relationships, clearer boundaries, and deeper self-respect.
