Professional Trainings to Promote Resiliency
Trainings educate individuals and organizations, provide forums for increased self-awareness and community-building, and creatively support the needs of helpers to nurture themselves as well as others.
Resiliency Center Director Elizabeth Venart has provided training and consultation at the local, regional, and national levels on trauma and resiliency, vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue, counselor wellness, team-building in organizations, and creativity development.
Over the years, Elizabeth Venart and other members of the Resiliency Center community have also led trainings for area school districts and organizations — on topics of mindfulness, effective communication, stress management, and more. Trainings can be virtual or in-person, didactic or experiential. We focus on helping the material come to life for participants through reflective exercises, dialogue, and opportunities for creative expression.
Customized Training at your Workplace
Schools and organizations face many complex challenges. Speakers who specialize in the challenges you face offer new perspectives and strategies. Experiential trainings also engage employees through activities, conversation, and novel experiences that bring people together. We partner with school, agency and corporate leaders to develop customized programs that work effectively with their organizational culture and specific staff needs.
Self-Care Intensives for Professional Helpers
These education and support sessions offer helping professionals time to focus on themselves, tools to promote wellness, and valuable opportunities to dialogue with one another for increased support. Organizations participating in the Self-Care Program can schedule customized Self-Care Intensives — online or on-site — as an additional offering for staff. Programs may include mindfulness meditation, nature-based activities, gentle movement, art-making, play and team-building games, and laughter yoga.
