Group Meditation

When: Sunday Mornings and other times as scheduled

Instructor: Andrea McGady

Meditation can be described as “an abiding in one’s natural state, without mental complications.”

During these group meditations, we will be cultivating and sharing clarity and compassion—an unfolding awareness and mindfulness—which may be summed up with this simple expression:  a knowing of things as they are.

Group meditation may be led by different instructors. Sometimes, the meditation leader will open by sharing a reflection or meditation exercise and then inviting participants to join in silent meditation. Other times, the meditation leader may lead a guided meditation with or without music during the duration of the meditation. In both cases, the meditation will be followed by time for reflection by all members of the group. Sharing is completely voluntary.

Morning meditations are a gentle way to get centered and welcome the morning—and promotes resiliency throughout the day ahead. Evening meditations are a relaxed and supportive way to wind down at the end of the day and come together in community.
